Michelle became a shareholder at Thorp Purdy in September 2018. Her practice focuses on civil and criminal litigation, family law and personal injury. Â Michelle’s litigation practice includes assisting both individuals and businesses in disputes involving contracts, real property, wills and trusts, torts, and elder abuse. Prior to joining Thorp Purdy in 2013, Michelle clerked for the Honorable Douglas Mitchell and the Honorable Jodie Mooney of the Lane County Circuit Court in Eugene, Oregon. After her clerkship, Michelle worked as an attorney at the Umpqua Valley Public Defenders Office in Roseburg, Oregon, representing both adult and juvenile clients.
Michelle graduated from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. Michelle moved to Oregon to attend the University of Oregon School of Law and earned her Juris Doctorate and a master’s degree from the University of Oregon. She was admitted to the Oregon State Bar in 2010. Michelle is also admitted to the U.S. District Court and Bankruptcy Court in Oregon.
In her spare time, Michelle enjoys spending time with her dog and both road and mountain biking with her husband.
