At Thorp Purdy, we take a different approach. Our family lawyers work with each individual and family we represent directly, answering their questions and helping them find a solution that works for their family, specifically.

In Oregon, equitable division of assets is not as simple as splitting bank accounts and liquid assets. What matters most is having a fair settlement. Perhaps one party in the divorce wants to keep the house. The other party will need to receive a fair share of other assets. "Fairness" is best determined by the parties of a divorce, rather than by a judge in court, which is why we do our best to keep decision making in our clients' hands at all times, while advocating for their best interests.

Our decades of experience and our team of outstanding legal practitioners allow us to be flexible with the solutions we offer. We are confident trial attorneys who can aggressively represent our clients to the fullest extent of the law, but if more efficient and cost-effective, yet favorable results can be handled in settlements, we have the skill to proceed in that manner as well.
