Criminal and DUII

  • DUII
    • Our attorneys have been handling DUII defense for many years. DUII law is complex and the consequences can be serious. Our attorneys have experience coordinating a defense with the Department of Motor Vehicles and the Courts, while helping clients navigate the jail, license suspension, and personal consequences a DUII conviction often carries. Whether you are diversion eligible, facing your first DUII offense, repeat offender status, or a felony DUII, our attorneys are prepared to assist you. We represent clients that hold Commercial Driver’s Licenses, which means you are not diversion eligible for diversion even if you have never been charged with a DUII before. Often times, you will be charged with other traffic crimes in addition to a DUII charge that will also require a defense.

  • Criminal Defense
    • Thorp Purdy handles misdemeanor cases ranging from traffic offenses, property crimes, and minor assaults.  We have experience handling cases in circuit courts, municipal courts, and justice courts throughout Oregon.  If you are facing criminal charges, it is important to obtain the advice of an attorney who you can trust and who can guide you through the risks and consequences of a possible criminal conviction.  Our attorneys have experience in aggressively working a criminal case to pursue the best possible resolution, whether it be a diversion, plea bargain or trial.  It is our goal to make sure you understand you rights, options, and are completely informed throughout the case.

  • Stalking & Restraining Orders
    • A Stalking Protective Order (SPO) is a court order that protects a person from repeated and unwanted contacts that cause either fear or are coercive. A final SPO is permanent, and if the order is violated, can result in a criminal charge.  A Restraining Order is a court order that instructs a person who has hurt and threatened the protected party to leave the protected party, including minor children, alone.  A Restraining Order remains in force for a year period, and can be renewed if the protected party remains in danger.  The attorneys at TPJUW have extensive experience representing both petitioners (the person seeking the SPO or Restraining Order) and respondents (the person ordered to keep away in either the SPO or Restraining Order).  We have successfully tried many cases involving SPO or Restraining Orders.  We are prepared to work diligently for our clients to provide the best representation possible for SPO and Restraining Orders in Oregon.
