Kim was recently presented with the NALS of Oregon 2023 Award of Excellence. NALS of Oregon has many local chapters throughout the state and members are typically career legal support staff who are interested in learning as much as possible about the legal profession and keeping up to date on changes in the law.

Kim has been with Thorp Purdy since 2006 as a legal assistant and has been a member of NALS since 2004. She currently serves in her role as Treasurer for NALS of Lane County and as Meeting Director for NALS of Oregon.

Douglas “Doug” Wilkinson passed away peacefully on April 28, 2020, surrounded by his family in the home he built for all of them. Doug was an earnest, patient man. When he retired from practicing law in 2013, his partners, associates, and other colleagues remembered him as a wise man whose counsel was held in high regard. His office would be a hub of inquiry; new associates and seasoned partners relied on Doug’s precise and deep knowledge of the law.

The people who knew Doug outside of his professional role know a man who loved to be outside. He love to raft the river, camp, hike, and look at the stars.

Doug raised four daughters with his wife, Julie, and was blessed with eight grandchildren. He was loved tremendously by many people, but especially his family.

He will be dearly missed.
